Side Effects
Some products need stomach acid so that the body can absorb them properly. Famotidinedecreases stomach acid, so it may change how well these products work. Some affected products include atazanavir, dasatinib, delavirdine, certain azole antifungals (such as itraconazole, ketoconazole), pazopanib, among others.
Precaution
Impaired kidney function:
Famopsin tablet 20 mg 20’s should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. The dose should be adjusted if the CrCl is less than 50 ml/min.
Effect on Central nervous system:
Famopsin tablet 20 mg 20’s may show the effect on central nervous system in patients with kidney dysfunction. Any symptoms of dizziness, confusion should be reported to the doctor.
